Sutter's Ridge Farm is Closed for season
'Like' us on facebook for farm up-dates
As a small family-run farm, we invite you to visit us this fall and share in the enjoyment of the autumn harvest season. Located up on the ridge overlooking the rolling hills of South Western Wi and the 800 plus acre Donald Park Preserve, Sutter's Ridge Farm is a short drive from Madison's west side and a great way to enjoy autumns outdoor activities.
The harvest season begins in mid-August with pick-your-own raspberries available on the farm everyday through the month of September. Check out the 'raspberry season' page to learn about our raspberry picking. While picking raspberries up on the ridge, it is easy to enjoy family and friends or your own solitude with the fresh air from a wide blue sky with sweeping country views.
Starting Laborday Weekend, we are open every Fri, Sat & Sun from 10am-5pm through the month of October for fall farm activities. Along with raspberry picking, we also have U-pick apples. Check out the apple varieties page for more information. You can challenge yourself in the 3-4 acre corn maze and begining mid-September enjoy a fresh hand dipped caramel apple in our authentic log cabin shop. The kids will enjoy our Farm Yard Activity area with a huge hay bale pile, peddle tractors, sandbox, mini maze, goats, rabbits, kittens and other fun activities. And starting last weekend in Sept and thru October, don't forget a hayride to the pumpkin patch to select out and pick-your-own pumpkin from our patch. Mums, squash, goards, straw bales and corn stalks are also availble to complete your autumn decorating needs.
At Sutter's Ridge Orchard, all ages can find a way to relax and reconnect with the land and each other in one of Dane counties most scenic areas, and we hope to become a part of your family's fall tradition.
